Shipping, Delivery & Return Policy
Effective February 2026
Sunrise Half Round manufactures premium 6" European-style half round gutter systems. Because our products are custom fabricated and shipped as oversized freight, our policies differ depending on what you order. This document outlines the two categories below.
Category A — Freight Items
Ordering & Payment
All freight items (gutters, downspouts, and the wooden shipping crate) are manufactured to order. Orders are placed through our website and paid by bank transfer (wire or ACH). You will receive an invoice within 1 business day of submitting your order. Manufacturing begins once payment clears.
Credit card payments are not accepted for freight items.
Typical production lead time is 3–5 business days from when payment clears. Freight shipments are picked up by the carrier on Tuesdays only. Transit time varies depending on your location and is determined by the freight carrier. We will notify you when your order is loaded onto the truck and provide tracking information once available from the carrier. The carrier will contact you directly to schedule your delivery appointment. We do not control or guarantee transit times.
Freight Delivery Requirements
Your order ships in a 20-foot wooden crate via commercial freight carrier. By placing a freight order, you acknowledge and accept the following:
Schedule your delivery. The freight carrier will contact you by phone to schedule a delivery appointment. Please respond promptly. Failure to schedule or missed appointments may result in storage fees and redelivery fees charged by the carrier.
Delivery location must be accessible. Delivery location must be accessible to the delivery truck.
Unloading and Moving Products. Please make sure you have the equipment or manpower to safely unload your products from the delivery truck to the ground. The customer is responsible for unloading the 20 ft long crate from the freight truck.
No equipment? If you do not have the equipment to remove the wooden crate, you may request a flatbed truck and/or forklift. This service is at your expense and will be billed separately by Sunrise Half Round.
Inspect upon receipt. It is the responsibility of the customer to inspect all packages upon receipt, checking for visible damages to the exterior of the packaging and comparing contents with the packing slip. Note any damage on the carrier's delivery receipt before signing and take photos. Contact us at info@sunrisehalfround.com within 24 hours with your order number and photos if there is any damage.
Returns — Freight Items
All sales of gutters and downspouts (leaders) are final. No returns, exchanges, or refunds are accepted under any circumstances. These items are custom fabricated to your specifications and cannot be restocked or resold. This applies to all finishes including galvanized, copper, and painted products.
Damage Claims — Freight Items
All quantities have been checked at our warehouse for accuracy, and products have been thoroughly inspected prior to shipment. After the shipment leaves our facility, the carrier assumes responsibility for delivering the order as it was accepted.
Visible damage (damage to the crate or packaging): Note all damage on the carrier's delivery receipt before the driver leaves. Take photos. Contact us at info@sunrisehalfround.com within 24 hours with your order number and photos.
Concealed damage (damage found after opening the crate): Contact us within 24 hours of delivery at info@sunrisehalfround.com. Include your order number, photos of the damaged items, and photos of the packaging. Do not discard any packaging materials until the claim is resolved.
We will review your claim and photos within 1 business day. Sunrise Half Round will file a claim with the freight carrier on your behalf. To process your claim, we require clear photos of: the damaged product, the packaging/crate condition, and the delivery receipt with damage noted. Claims without sufficient documentation cannot be processed. If warranted, we will determine the appropriate resolution at our sole discretion.
Claim deadlines: Damage claims must be submitted within 24 hours of delivery. Claims submitted after 24 hours may not be eligible for resolution.
Category B — Standard Shipping Items
Ordering & Payment
Standard shipping items (elbows, brackets, roof mount brackets, bay miters, pipe outlets, end caps, corners) can be purchased directly through our website with a credit card. Orders are processed and shipped within 1–3 business days via UPS or FedEx.
Returns — Standard Shipping Items
You may return standard shipping items within 30 days of receipt, subject to the following conditions:
- Items must be in original, unused, re-salable condition with all original packaging.
- A 25% restocking fee applies to all returns.
- Return shipping costs are your responsibility.
- You must include a copy of your receipt or packing slip with the return. Returns without documentation will not be processed.
- Items returned in damaged or used condition will not be refunded.
- Custom-painted or custom-finished items are non-returnable. Standard painted colors (white, black, chocolate brown, iron gray) are returnable.
To initiate a return, email info@sunrisehalfround.com with your order number. We will provide a return authorization and instructions. Ship returns via UPS or insured parcel post for your protection. We are not responsible for items lost or damaged during return shipping.
Refunds are issued within 15 business days of receiving the return, less the restocking fee and original shipping costs. Refunds are issued to the original payment method.
Damage Claims — Standard Shipping Items
If your items arrive damaged, contact us within 24 hours at info@sunrisehalfround.com with your order number and photos of the damage. We will replace the damaged items or issue a refund at our discretion. Keep all packaging materials until the claim is resolved.
Mixed Orders
If your order contains both freight items and standard shipping items, the entire order is processed as a freight order. This means the full order is paid by bank transfer (wire/ACH) and shipped together in one crate.
Returns for mixed orders: The return policy for each item category still applies individually. Standard shipping items in a mixed order remain returnable under Category B terms (30 days, 25% restocking fee, unused condition). Freight items remain non-returnable under Category A terms.
Damage claims for mixed orders: Because all items ship together in one freight crate, any damage claim for a mixed order is handled under Category A freight damage terms. Freight damage claims are filed with the carrier's claims department, which processes the shipment as a single claim — we cannot split individual items into separate claims. This means the 24-hour reporting window, photo documentation requirements, and carrier claim process apply to the entire shipment, including any standard shipping items that were packed with the freight order.
General Terms
Order Cancellations
Orders may be cancelled before manufacturing begins. Once production has started, the order cannot be cancelled. Freight items are manufactured to order and production typically begins within 1–2 business days of payment clearing.
Pricing & Currency
All prices are listed in US Dollars (USD). Prices on our website reflect current pricing at the time of order. We reserve the right to adjust pricing without notice. Your invoice will reflect the price at the time your order was placed.
